Shunts

DC shunts used with meters and monitors to measure current flow in battery banks, charging systems, and high-current circuits. A precision shunt produces a small calibrated voltage proportional to DC current so battery monitors or ammeters can measure higher currents. Match rated amperage and millivolt output to the exact instrument, and check mounting, thermal clearance and polarity. Shunt selection affects measurement accuracy; a mechanically compatible shunt with the wrong ratio produces misleading readings.
