Current Transformers

Current transformers used to measure AC current safely and feed meter, monitoring, or power management systems without direct conductor interruption. Current transformers (CTs) allow an AC meter or protection relay to measure large currents indirectly. Match the primary current ratio, secondary output, burden and accuracy class to the connected instrument. CTs are for AC measurement; do not open-circuit an energized CT secondary, and use the specified terminal and safety arrangements.
