Charger Relays

Automatic charging relays and voltage-sensitive relays that combine or isolate battery banks during charging and discharging to protect starting and house batteries. An automatic charging relay (ACR) or voltage-sensitive relay generally connects compatible banks when charging voltage is present and disconnects them as voltage falls. Some models add start isolation to protect sensitive electronics during engine cranking. Specify 12/24V compatibility, continuous current, sensing behavior and ignition protection. These are charge-sharing controls, not substitutes for appropriately sized main battery switches or overcurrent protection.
