Battery Isolation

Battery isolators and isolation devices that separate battery banks while allowing controlled charging, helping prevent one bank from discharging another onboard. Diode or low-drop isolators permit charging from a common source without directly paralleling separate battery banks. Redundant DC source selectors serve a different purpose: they automatically maintain power to a critical load if one source fails. Compare number of inputs and banks, maximum charge current, voltage drop and alternator/charger compatibility; identify whether the priority is preventing cross-discharge or sustaining uninterrupted power.
