Refit & Repair
Yacht and boat design is a fluid process, and trends can shift from one year to the next. A refit project is needed for travel reasons, general updating, or new ownership. Whatever the reason, we pride ourselves on having the creativity and vision to keep ahead of the trends in order to accommodate our growing customer’s high expectations.
Repairs and refits from large and small are treated with the same attention to detail. We follow guidelines for ABYC standards, CFR46 (subparts H, J, K, and I), ABS class certification standards, Lloyd's Register standards, RINA, BV, and DNV standards, and Maritime and Coast Guard administration standards; all depending on your boats requirements.
Innovating and pioneering changes in how refits are completed is one of our niches. The integration of wireless services , automation control via tablet apps, and on board replacement of power management systems while keeping existing switchgear containment cabinets are just some examples of how keeping ahead of trends and providing solutions for common refit complications allows us to provide the best service possible to our refit customers.
In 2003, WME constructed an OSHA-approved spray booth for applying finishes to products that we fabricate or rebuild. For safety and finish durability, we use both positive-pressure VOC filtration and temperature and humidity controls. Our paint facility is designed to produce a flawless finish using industry-standard two-part polyurethane paint systems, per manufacturer specifications and Federal and State safety regulations.

If the person signing this Work Order is other than the Owner, such person, individually, warrants to Ward’s Marine that such person has the Owner’s authority to sign this Work order. If Ward’s Marine has any doubt as to such person’s authority, Ward’s Marine may, without liability to Owner, not start any work under this Work Order or may stop such work until the vessel’s Owner gives his written approval and confirmation of this Work Order.
Owner warrants to Ward’s Marine that the owner owns the title to the vessel described in this Work Order free and clear of all liens and encumbrances, except as otherwise disclosed herein, and that all of the information pertaining to the registration of the boat on the front page of this Work Order is true and correct in all respects.
Unless a time for completion of the work is specified on the first page of this Work Order, the work shall be done within a reasonable time commensurate with the amount and difficulty of the work.
